Matcha Green Tea Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a simmer over medium heat. Do not let it boil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the matcha green tea powder with a few tablespoons of warm water until smooth and there are no lumps.
  3. Once the water is heated, remove it from the heat and stir in the matcha mixture until well combined.
  4. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey (or agave syrup) to the matcha tea. Stir well to combine.
  5. Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors and stir again.
  6. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  7. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled matcha lemonade over the ice.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your refreshing drink!
