Matcha Green Tea Lemonade
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 4 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a simmer over medium heat. Do not let it boil.
- In a small bowl, whisk the matcha green tea powder with a few tablespoons of warm water until smooth and there are no lumps.
- Once the water is heated, remove it from the heat and stir in the matcha mixture until well combined.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey (or agave syrup) to the matcha tea. Stir well to combine.
- Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors and stir again.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled matcha lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your refreshing drink!
