Greek Herbal Iced Tea

Must Try

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons dried Greek mountain tea (or any herbal tea of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for a unique twist)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried Greek mountain tea.
  3. Cover and let steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
  4. Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves.
  5. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.
  6. Add the olive oil and a pinch of salt to the tea, mixing well to combine.
  7. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.
  8. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
