Classic Tiramisu

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 20 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Beat mascarpone, sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Dip ladyfingers in espresso and layer in a dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture, repeat layers, and dust with cocoa powder. Chill before serving.

Tiramisu cake includes coffee and cocoa powder, which may offer minor digestive advantages. It has been demonstrated that coffee increases the formation of stomach acid, which facilitates digestion.
