Chilled Chinese Herbal Tea

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried chrysanthemum flowers
  • 2 tablespoons dried goji berries
  • 1 tablespoon dried longan
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried chrysanthemum flowers, goji berries, and longan to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the tea cool for a few minutes.
  5. If desired, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the solids.
  6. Add honey for sweetness, stirring until dissolved. Adjust to taste.
  7. Refrigerate the tea until chilled, about 1-2 hours.
  8. Serve in glasses over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
