Chilled Chinese Herbal Tea
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried chrysanthemum flowers
- 2 tablespoons dried goji berries
- 1 tablespoon dried longan
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional, for sweetness)
- Ice cubes (for serving)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the dried chrysanthemum flowers, goji berries, and longan to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the tea cool for a few minutes.
- If desired, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the solids.
- Add honey for sweetness, stirring until dissolved. Adjust to taste.
- Refrigerate the tea until chilled, about 1-2 hours.
- Serve in glasses over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
