Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 4 teaspoons dried Greek mountain tea (or any herbal tea of choice)
- 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for a unique twist)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried Greek mountain tea.
- Cover and let steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves.
- Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.
- Add the olive oil and a pinch of salt to the tea, mixing well to combine.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
